Veterinary Technician, Inpatient
About the role
Red Bank Veterinary Hospital is seeking Inpatient Technicians to join our dedicated team. We offer a competitive compensation range based on experience, full-time benefits, and a supportive environment for learning and growth.
Responsibilities
- Assist with a variety of daily tasks while collaborating with all departments.
- Assess patients and facilitate treatments under the direction of the supervising veterinarian.
- Monitor patient status, including vitals, mentation, and pain scores.
- Perform nursing procedures such as phlebotomy, IVC/IVF therapy, cystocentesis, urinary catheter care, medication administration, restraint, and in- and out-patient care.
- Triage, sedation/anesthesia monitoring, recognize CPA, and initiate CPR.
- Provide basic husbandry and care for domestic and exotic patients.
- Gain hands-on experience managing complex emergency and critical care cases.
- Expand knowledge through mentorship, continuing education, and ongoing professional development.
Qualifications
- LVT, CVT, or RVT credential preferred.
- Three years of experience working as a Veterinary Technician in a veterinary hospital.
- Previous experience working in an emergency or specialty veterinary hospital preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency with computers, electronic medical records, and data entry.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced emergency and critical care environment.
- Fluent English skills (speaking and reading) required.
- RECOVER CPR certification a plus.
- Experience managing critically ill and hospitalized patients preferred.

Schedule
Full Time: Sunday - Tuesday, 7:00am – 8:00pm
Sunday – Wednesday, 7:00am – 5:00pm
