About the role
The Veterinary Technician III will work under the general direction of the Phoenix Veterinarian.
Responsibilities
- Provide advanced clinical veterinary technical support for laboratory animal species.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality veterinary care, animal welfare, and regulatory compliance.
- Independently perform clinical assessment, triage, case management, and follow-up of veterinary cases.
- Exercise sound judgment regarding treatment, monitoring, and escalate to the veterinarian as necessary.
- Serve as a technical resource for investigators, husbandry staff, and junior personnel.
- Provide training, coordinate clinical activities, and promote consistent application of UAC Veterinary Services standards.
Requirements
- Current AZ State license as a Veterinary Technician.
- Experience working with laboratory animals.
- Knowledge of animal behavior and handling techniques.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Technology or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
