Veterinary Technician/Experienced Assistant - Anesthesia
About the Role
Angell Animal Medical Center is looking for a certified veterinary technician or experienced veterinary assistant to join our skilled anesthesia team. This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with a flexible schedule, including rotating weekends and holidays, with additional pay for on-call shifts.
What You Have
- Minimum of 2 years of anesthesia-specific experience within the veterinary field
- Current Certified Veterinary Technician within the state of MA, or hold a CVT/LVT in another state and are eligible to transfer certification to Massachusetts to be hired as a technician
- Technical skills including venipuncture, IV catheter placement, intubation, anesthesia, and CPR procedures
Preferred Qualifications
- Work experience in a fast-paced, multi-veterinarian hospital, emergency/referral practice, or veterinary teaching hospital
- Associate's degree or better in Veterinary Technology or related field

You will never be bored at Angell as we anesthetize a wide and varied assortment of patients including orthopedic, soft tissue (adrenalectomies), thoracic (pericardial windows, lung lobectomies), cardiac (balloons, pacemakers), and a variety of avian and exotic patients.
Compensation
- Veterinary Assistants: starting $24–$29/hour
- Certified Veterinary Technicians: starting $29–$34/hour
- Candidates with additional experience or credentials may be eligible for compensation aligned with their qualifications
- $10,000 sign-on bonus for new hire Certified Veterinary Technicians hired into the Anesthesia service
