Responsibilities
- Triage patients and obtain thorough histories, vitals, and patient assessments
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and procedures
- Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care from intake through discharge
- Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, fluid therapy, and sample collection
- Prepare and administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed
- Obtain high-quality radiographs and assist with diagnostic procedures
- Run in-house laboratory testing
- Support surgical and dental procedures, including preparation, anesthesia monitoring, recovery, and instrument care
- Monitor anesthesia and patient vitals while maintaining accurate records
- Practice fear-free and low-stress handling techniques whenever possible
- Educate clients with compassion, clarity, and confidence
- Maintain accurate medical records and patient charts
- Keep treatment and exam areas clean, stocked, and organized
- Anticipate the needs of veterinarians and teammates to support an efficient daily workflow
- Collaborate with the team to provide exceptional patient and client care
Requirements
- Current Veterinary Technician certification or credentialing
- Strong technical skills, including venipuncture and IV catheter placement
- Experience with anesthesia monitoring, surgical assistance, and patient recovery
- Knowledge of preventive care, medications, and veterinary diagnostics
- Safe and compassionate patient handling and restraint skills
- Commitment to fear-free and low-stress handling techniques
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Clear, compassionate communication with clients and teammates
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to anticipate team and patient needs

Pay
$26.00–$28.00 per hour, based on experience and licensure
