About the role

Ali'i Animal is seeking an experienced veterinary assistant or licensed veterinary technician to join our dedicated team. We offer competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and a supportive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and effective patient handling and restraint
• Support preventative care and vaccine appointments
• Absorb and monitor surgical patients
• Perform emergency and surgical care, including IV catheter placement and intubation
• Obtain diagnostics, including radiographs, phlebotomy, sample collection, and in-house lab work
• Document patient records and client interactions clearly and accurately
• Communicate professionally and compassionately with clients and team members

Requirements

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle client concerns with empathy
• Familiarity with veterinary terminology and hospital workflows preferred
• Experience with practice management software such as Avimark, Cornerstone, ezyVet, Idexx Neo, or similar platforms is a plus
• A positive attitude and ability to contribute to a supportive, upbeat team culture
• Excellent customer service skills with a focus on building long-term client relationships
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent multitasking skills and the ability to stay calm in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational habits

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current certification as a Veterinary Assistant or Licensed Veterinary Technician
• Experience working in a veterinary clinic or hospital setting
• Knowledge of veterinary medicine and procedures
