Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians during appointments and patient exams
- Support diagnostic treatments and patient care
- Absorb anesthesia and patient monitoring
- Prepare patients and the surgical suite for procedures
- Perform dental cleanings and support dental procedures
- Perform phlebotomy, including blood draws and IV catheter placement
- Absorb pharmacy duties and medication preparation
- Process laboratory samples
- Communicate with clients about their pets’ care
- Schedule appointments and surgical procedures
- Safely restrain and handle patients
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Collaborate with the veterinary team to provide exceptional patient care
Requirements
Previous veterinary technician experience
Strong patient care and technical skills
Experience assisting with anesthesia, surgery, and dentistry
Comfort with blood draws and IV catheter placement
Knowledge of laboratory procedures and diagnostic workflows
Strong animal handling and restraint skills
Excellent client communication skills
A team-first mindset and willingness to support your coworkers
