Position Details
Role: Experienced or Licensed Veterinary Technician
Status: Full-time
Schedule: 4-day work week (Thursday would likely be the day off), no nights or weekends

Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians with patient exams, diagnostics, and treatments
- Obtain patient histories and perform initial assessments
- Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and sample collection
- Run in-house laboratory tests and prepare samples for reference labs
- Prepare, administer, and monitor medications and vaccines
- Absorb anesthesia, surgery, and post-operative recovery
- Take and process radiographs following safety protocols
- Provide high-quality nursing care and monitor hospitalized patients
- Accurately document patient care in medical records
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of treatment areas and equipment
- Support a positive, collaborative team environment
Requirements
- Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT/LVT/RVT) (2+ years in a veterinary hospital setting preferred)
- A solid understanding of animal handling, restraint, and low-stress techniques
- Proficiency with venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and sample collection
- Experience assisting with anesthesia, monitoring, and recovery
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and practice management software
Qualifications
- Experience with medication calculation, preparation, and administration
- Knowledge of radiology experience (positioning, safety, and image capture)
