Veterinary Technician
Role Overview
Technicians work closely with specialists using advanced diagnostics and treatments. Responsibilities include:
- Assisting with anesthesia, sedation, and procedures
- Placing IV catheters and managing fluid therapy
- Setting up CRIs and performing medical calculations
- Radiology positioning and safety
- Monitoring hospitalized patients and providing compassionate care
- Preparing blood/plasma transfusions
- Collecting diagnostic samples and maintaining records
- Client education
Qualifications
- CVT/LVT/RVT preferred or 2+ years of experience (VTS highly valued)
- Strong anesthesia and lab skills
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and normal ranges
- Team-oriented with strong communication skills
- Positive attitude, integrity, and eagerness to learn
Compensation & Benefits
- $23/hr - $34/hr depending on skills, experience, and credentials + shift differentials
