About the role
VCA Old Marple Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join their well-established, multi-doctor, 24-hour emergency/general practice in Springfield, Pennsylvania.
Responsibilities
- Create a positive, low-stress atmosphere for clients and patients
- Support technician and doctor teams
- Win the confidence of every pet parent by delivering an outstanding client experience
- Perform physical examinations and patient assessment
- Anesthesia monitoring
- Surgical preparation and assisting
- Radiology
- Laboratory work
- Venipuncture
- Catheter placement
- Pharmacy
- Patient recovery
- Compassionate care of hospitalized animals
Requirements
- Experience in veterinary technology
- Knowledge of anesthesia monitoring
- Ability to perform surgical preparation and assisting
- Proficiency in radiology and laboratory work
- Skills in venipuncture and catheter placement
- Experience with pharmacy and patient recovery
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current certification as a Veterinary Technician
- Valid driver’s license

Pay
The pay range for this position is $23-$26/hr.

Sunday 8am-8pm; Tuesday 8am-6pm; Friday 10am-8pm
