About the role
VCA North Division Animal Medical Center is seeking an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our dedicated team. This position is based in Spokane, WA at 8714 N Division St.
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures
- Administer medications and treatments as directed
- Perform diagnostic tests and record results accurately
- Care for hospitalized patients, including administering medication and monitoring vital signs
- Prepare treatment areas and equipment
- Provide patient care and comfort
- Document patient care and treatment in medical records
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations
Requirements
- Current license as a Veterinary Technician in the state of Washington
- At least 2 years of experience as a Veterinary Technician
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Technology or related field
- Completion of a recognized Veterinary Technician program
Skills
- Proficiency in electronic medical records systems
- Knowledge of animal behavior and nutrition
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively
