At Midtown Vets, a Thrive Pet Healthcare partner, you'll feel the warmth and openness of a small clinic while having the opportunity and support of a united network. We offer primary care for dogs and cats in the OKC Metro area, Midtown District, Mesta Park, Deep Deuce, and Gatewood. Our services include in-house bloodwork, dental care, vaccinations, radiology & ultrasound, urinalyses, oxygen chamber, and pharmacy.

Role Responsibilities

  • Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, and educate clients.
  • Able and willing to work at the front desk to help provide support as a client service representative.
  • Assist veterinarians and the medical team with each hospital function to maximize productivity and maintain positive patient flow.
  • Assist with surgeries and procedures in accordance with your state's Veterinary Practice Act outlined for veterinary technicians.
  • Communicate with clients about individualized pet health concerns and offer guidance on Thrive Membership options, medications, and additional treatments.
  • Absorb relevant health history and information from clients and maintain medical charts.
  • Use safe restraining techniques, follow standard protocols, and sustain clean, sterile, organized treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs.
  • Be willing to guide, mentor, and support fellow team members.

Experience & Skills Requirements

  • Veterinary technician/assistant experience (direct animal/patient care required) -- anesthesia and dental experience is highly preferred.
  • LVT, RVT, CVT is a bonus!
  • Desire to practice empathetic, gold-standard medicine benefiting our patients.
  • Team-oriented with an ability to collaborate and support each other.
  • The desire to grow and advance as a veterinary technician constantly!

Skills
