Veterinary Technician

About the role

Court Street Animal Hospital is entering an exciting new chapter under new leadership, and we're looking for a Veterinary Technician who is passionate about patient care, values teamwork, and wants to help build an exceptional hospital culture.

Responsibilities

• Aid veterinarians with appointments and treatments
• Monitor anesthesia and support surgical procedures
• Collect laboratory samples and perform diagnostic testing
• Administer medications and treatments as directed
• Educate clients on preventative care and treatment plans
• Maintain accurate medical records
• Help create a positive, efficient workflow throughout the hospital

Requirements

• 1+ years of veterinary technician experience
• A self-starter who takes initiative
• A genuine passion for patient care
• Thrives in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
• Wants to help build an outstanding hospital culture

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts license or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office

Skills

• Excellent customer service skills
• Proficiency with electronic medical record systems
• Knowledge of basic pharmacology
• Ability to lift and move patients
