Job Duties
- Aid veterinarians in gathering patient histories
- Establish and implement treatment plans
- Communicate important information about patient care to clients
- Maintain hospital and patient cleanliness using aseptic techniques, proper protective equipment, and isolation protocols
- Frequently lift and move patients up to 35 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Communicate professionally and courteously with employees and clients
- Multi-task and establish priorities effectively
- Pay close attention to detail and ensure accuracy in patient care, charge entry, etc.
- Have knowledge of the hospital's services and the species it treats
- Operate equipment, including computers and software
- Perform IV catheter placement and venipuncture
- Have experience as a Veterinary Technician Assistant of 3 years
Compensation
$18/hr - $25/hr, to be determined based upon experience
