About the role
We are a leading specialty and emergency hospital, housed in a state-of-the-art 25,000-square-foot facility equipped to handle a wide range of complex cases. With 13 specialty departments, our team includes top experts in fields such as internal medicine, surgery, cardiology, and more, ensuring comprehensive care for our patients.
Responsibilities
- Plan and prepare individualized anesthesia protocols in collaboration with a veterinary anesthesiologist and other specialists.
- Administer and monitor anesthesia, using advanced equipment to track vital signs, depth of anesthesia, and patient comfort.
- Assist during surgical and diagnostic procedures, anticipating the needs of the veterinary team and adapting to rapid changes in patient status.
- Manage perioperative pain control, administering medications and monitoring pain levels to ensure patient comfort.
- Maintain accurate records of anesthesia protocols, drug usage, and patient responses to ensure consistent and informed care.
- Maintain a calm, organized workspace, ensuring quick access to necessary supplies and troubleshooting equipment as needed.
- Engage in continuing education and case discussions, keeping abreast of the latest anesthesia protocols, monitoring techniques, and best practices.
Requirements
- Experience in a fast-paced specialty, emergency, or surgical setting, with a proven ability to remain detail-focused and organized.
- Strong clinical skills, including IV catheter placement, venipuncture, and understanding of pharmacology/anesthesia protocols.
- Effective communication for liaising with clinical staff and effectively relaying critical patient information.
- Confidence in anesthesia monitoring and patient assessment, recognizing subtle changes and acting decisively to maintain patient safety.

Qualifications
- Current license to practice veterinary medicine in the state of [State]

Pay
Starting at $26.00/hour with a $5,000 sign-on bonus.
Schedule
This is a full-time position with the following available schedule: Wednesday-Saturday: 2:00 PM - 12:00 AM.
