About the role
This role is a full-time or part-time Client Care Representative position at CoastView Veterinary Hospital. The ideal candidate will have weekend availability and possess strong communication and organizational skills.
Responsibilities
- Create exceptional first impressions by warmly greeting clients and their pets
- Manage multi-line phone systems, gather and document important information, and communicate pet care instructions clearly and compassionately
- Schedule, confirm, and manage appointments efficiently, handling check-ins and check-outs with proper documentation
- Alert appropriate departments when patients arrive, distribute daily schedules, and ensure patient files are properly prepared and updated
- Maintain an inviting, clean, and organized reception area to enhance the client and pet experience
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
- At least 1 year of experience in a customer service role in an animal hospital
- Familiarity with veterinary terminology and protocols
- Ability to handle high volume, high stress cases professionally
- Proactive appointment scheduling and confirmation calls
- Able to maintain and update any required documents or medical records
- Comply with rigorous hospital standards for cleanliness and organization
- Able to accurately handle deposits and financial transactions
- Able to accurately educate clients on veterinary services and best practices for animal care
