About the role

This is a hybrid position that combines reception and client-service duties with daily care of the dogs and cats staying in our boarding facility. You’ll greet clients, manage appointments, process payments, and keep operations running smoothly—then switch gears to feed, walk, exercise, and monitor our boarding guests.

Responsibilities

  • Greet clients and their pets and help create a welcoming experience from the moment they walk through the door.
  • Answer phones, schedule appointments, and assist clients with general questions.
  • Check clients and patients in and out for appointments, boarding, and other services.
  • Communicate with clients regarding appointments, medical records, prescription requests, and general hospital information.
  • Process payments and maintain accurate client and patient information.
  • Work closely with the veterinary team to keep communication and daily operations running smoothly.
  • Provide daily care for dogs and cats staying in our boarding facility: feed, walk, exercise, and monitor pets throughout their stay.
  • Maintain clean, comfortable kennels and boarding areas.
  • Monitor pets for changes in behavior, appetite, elimination, or overall well-being and communicate concerns to the appropriate team member.
  • Administer medications as directed and maintain accurate feeding, medication, and care records.
  • Help with general cleaning, laundry, dishes, and maintaining a clean and organized environment.

Requirements

  • Strong client communication skills.
  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills.
  • A genuine love of animals and commitment to their well-being.
  • The ability to comfortably work with both people and pets throughout the day.
  • Empathy toward clients, teammates, and yourself.
  • A willingness to jump in wherever needed.
  • A collaborative, team-first mindset.
  • A desire to grow professionally and encourage the growth of those around you.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to have a little fun while getting the job done.
