Veterinary Receptionist

Responsibilities

• Checking patients in and discharging patients
• Invoicing and handling payments
• Providing customer service such as greeting customers, answering questions, processing incoming patients, and handling payments
• Answering phone calls, which may include answering questions, scheduling appointments, and recording messages for doctors and staff
• Handling incoming and outgoing mail and email
• Updating and filing patient charts
• Entering data into computerized billing program
• Retrieving prescriptions
• Assisting with pet supply purchases such as food, supplements, and grooming items
• Maintaining the cleanliness of the waiting room
• Retail sales
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds, stoop, bend, and stand on feet for long periods

Requirements

• High School Diploma or relevant education and work experience
• Customer Service skills
• Organizational Skills
• Tech Savvy
• Team oriented
• Strong Communication skills
