Veterinary Receptionist

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Golden Valley, MN is seeking Veterinary Receptionists.

About the role

As a Veterinary Receptionist, you are the first point of contact for clients and play a crucial role in the success of our hospital. You will greet clients with warmth and professionalism, ensuring they receive the care and attention they need, even in emotionally difficult situations.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients with friendly eye contact, a warm smile, and an approachable demeanor every time the hospital entry door opens.
• Assess each client’s needs and the pet’s general condition upon arrival, determining whether an emergency is “stat” or “standard.”
• Respond to non-patient calls or visitors and connect them to the appropriate team member.
• Confirm all appointments in advance and provide clients with accurate preparation instructions for their pet’s visit.
• Offer emotional support and resource materials to grieving clients in a compassionate and discreet manner.
• Serve as a liaison between clients and service agencies during the handling of pet remains, ensuring a complete, accurate, and compassionate process.
• Speak clearly, slowly, and calmly in person and on the telephone to ensure clients easily understand.

Requirements

• Ability to function calmly and compassionately in emotional and difficult situations.
• Unrestricted, current authorization to work in the U.S. without requiring future sponsorship for an employment-based green card.

Pay

$18.90 - $29.00 per hour, dependent on experience and advancement through our competency assessment tool.
