About the role
BluePearl Pet Hospital in NE Portland (Hollywood) is seeking an experienced, full-time Veterinary Client Service Coordinator to join our daytime team!
Responsibilities
- Greet and make friendly eye contact every time our hospital entry door opens.
- Offer warm and professional acknowledgement to each client.
- Ensure each client receives the care and attention they need.
- Function calmly and compassionately in emotionally challenging situations.

- Make a friendly smile and maintain strong eye contact.
- Offer a compassionate and approachable demeanor.
- Assess the rare needs and general conditions of each client and pet immediately upon arrival.
- Determine if an emergency arrival is a "stat" or "standard" emergency.
- Connect non-patient calls or visitors to the appropriate team member.
- Confirm all appointments in advance, ensuring clients receive accurate information about their pet's preparation for the appointment.
- Offer emotional support and resource materials to grieving clients in a compassionate and discreet manner.
- Serve as a liaison between clients and service agencies during handling of pet remains, ensuring a complete, accurate, and compassionate process.
Requirements
Excellent customer service professional with the ability to offer guidance, comfort, and support.

Qualifications
- Experience in a veterinary setting preferred.
- Ability to function calmly and compassionately in emotionally challenging situations.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.

Pay
$20 - $28 / hour

Wednesday–Saturday, 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
