About the role

At BluePearl Specialty + Emergency Pet Hospital, our Client Service Coordinators are imperative to the success of our hospital. In this position, you are the first BluePearl Associate that the client sees. You will ensure that each client receives the care and attention they need. You will need to function calmly and compassionately in situations that can be very emotional and difficult for our clients.

Responsibilities

• Greet and make friendly eye contact every time our hospital entry door opens to offer warm and professional acknowledgement.
• Maintain a friendly smile, strong eye contact, and an approachable demeanor.
• Act as a compassionate listener, speaking clearly, slowly, and calmly in person and on the telephone.
• Assess each client’s rare need and the pet’s general condition immediately upon arrival.
• Determine whether an emergency arrival is a “stat” versus “standard” emergency.
• Respond to non-patient calls or visitors and connect them to the appropriate team member.
• Confirm all appointments in advance, ensuring clients receive accurate information about preparing their pet for the appointment.
• Offer emotional support and resource materials to grieving clients in a compassionate and discreet manner.
• Serve as a liaison between clients and service agencies during handling of pet remains, ensuring a complete, accurate, and compassionate process.
