About the role

The Practice Manager at Hometown Veterinary Partners is a member of the hospital team and reports directly to the Partner DVM or the President. The Practice Manager supports core beliefs of Culture, Collaboration, and Community, empowering the team to provide exceptional veterinary care that is approachable, accessible, and individualized. This role encompasses veterinary hospital administration, operational planning, staff training, supply management, staffing, safety, security, and sustainability. This is an hourly non-exempt position requiring variable hours based on hospital needs, typically 40-45 hours per week.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a positive, supportive, and collaborative work environment.
  • Demonstrate proficient interpersonal and conflict resolution skills to support an inclusive environment.
  • Hire, retain, train, and develop medical staff, including onboarding new team members.
  • Train hospital teams on workflows and systems.
  • Implement customer retention and engagement strategies to provide an exceptional client experience.
  • Collaborate with the team to improve the practice environment for care teams, patients, and pet parents.
  • Guide and utilize exceptional support staff.
  • Ensure familiarity with quality, safety, and health initiatives.
  • Maintain up-to-date licenses in accordance with state or federal guidelines.
  • Ensure medical staff and facility comply with federal rules and regulations.
  • Manage hospital budget and support short/long-term growth and sustainability.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of management experience in any industry.
  • 3-5 years of veterinary experience.

Pay

$60,000.00 - $67,000.00 per year
