About You

We strongly believe that veterinary medicine is a team sport, and our ideal candidate shares that mindset. Communication, precision, and accountability are essential in this role. We are seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support the hospital by accurately preparing, dispensing, and managing medications for patients. This role works closely with veterinarians and technical staff to ensure safe and effective pharmaceutical care.

Responsibilities

  • Answering and addressing pharmacy phone calls
  • Processing medication refill requests
  • Medication and prescription food preparation and dispensing
  • Communicating with veterinary staff regarding prescription orders
  • Maintaining pharmacy inventory
  • Ensuring proper labeling and documentation
  • Supporting medical staff with medication requests
  • Contributing to a smooth and efficient workflow within the hospital

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician, preferably in a veterinary or medical setting, is preferred.
  • Familiarity with veterinary medications, dosing, and terminology, or a willingness to learn.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in medication preparation and dispensing.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with veterinarians, technicians, and support staff.
  • Knowledge of pharmacy inventory management and controlled substance handling is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively support internal teams.
  • Able to multitask and prioritize workload efficiently.
  • Reliable, punctual, and dependable with a strong work ethic.
  • Able to remain calm and focused under pressure.
  • Willingness to continue learning and stay updated on best practices in veterinary pharmacy care.
  • Must be 18 years or older to apply.

Pay

Compensation $19.00-$22.00 an hour dependent on experience.

Schedule

This is a part-time position: Saturday - 2pm-12am
