About the role

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma is seeking a full-time, board-certified or residency-trained Veterinary Oncologist to join their growing specialty team.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with colleagues to provide advanced medical care for cancer patients
  • Utilize state-of-the-art equipment including a 64-slice CT scanner, 1.5T MRI, endoscopy, fluoroscopy, arthroscopy, ultrasonography, and in-house laboratory services
  • Teach and mentor veterinary students and interns
  • Contribute to research and clinical trials

Requirements

  • Board-certification or completion of a residency program in veterinary oncology
  • Experience in treating a variety of cancers in dogs and cats
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an AVMA-accredited institution
  • Current license to practice veterinary medicine in Oklahoma
  • Passing scores on the AVMA accreditation exams

Skills

  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Effective leadership and management abilities
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical records systems
