Veterinary Oncologist

About the role

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Richmond, Virginia is seeking a Board-Certified Oncologist or residency-trained individual in oncology to join our expanding and collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive oncological care to patients
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans
• Conduct diagnostic tests and interpret results
• Participate in case conferences and contribute to clinical discussions
• Train and mentor veterinary technicians and students
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in oncology

Requirements

• Board Certification in Veterinary Oncology or equivalent residency training
• Experience in treating cancer in companion animals
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid Virginia State Veterinarian’s license

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an AVMA-accredited school
• Current AVMA accreditation
