About the role

As a Veterinary Neurologist at Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital, you will join an established and highly respected neurology service, providing advanced diagnostic and surgical care for patients with neurologic disorders. You will have access to the technology, resources, and multidisciplinary support needed to practice at the highest level while continuing to grow professionally.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic services for neurologic disorders in dogs and cats
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans
  • Conduct neurological examinations and interpret results
  • Perform diagnostic imaging and laboratory tests as necessary
  • Develop and maintain clinical protocols and guidelines
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development

Requirements

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an AVMA-accredited institution
  • Board certification in Veterinary Neurology from the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM)
  • Current license to practice veterinary medicine in the state of Colorado
  • Experience in treating neurologic disorders in dogs and cats
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

  • Passing score on the AVMA Council on Graduate Education (CGE) examination
  • Completion of a residency program in veterinary neurology
  • Experience with advanced diagnostic imaging techniques
  • Knowledge of pharmacology and therapeutics relevant to neurology

$200,000 - $250,000 USD
