About the role
BluePearl Pet Hospital, in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a full-time boarded or residency-trained Neurologist to join our state-of-the-art emergency and specialty hospital.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive neurological evaluations and treatments for patients
- Collaborate with other specialists to develop and implement treatment plans
- Conduct research and contribute to advancements in veterinary neurology
- Train and mentor veterinary students and residents
- Participate in hospital administrative meetings and committees
Requirements
- Board certification or completion of a residency program in veterinary neurology
- Experience in treating a variety of neurological conditions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an AVMA-accredited institution
- Current license to practice veterinary medicine in New York State
- Passing scores on the AVMA Council on Graduate Medical Education (COGME) examination
