About the role

As a Veterinary Neurologist at Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital, you will join an established and highly respected neurology service, providing advanced diagnostic and surgical care for patients with neurologic disorders. You will have access to the technology, resources, and multidisciplinary support needed to practice at the highest level while continuing to grow professionally.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic services for neurological conditions in dogs and cats
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including surgeons, radiologists, and other specialists
  • Conduct consultations, perform diagnostic procedures, and develop treatment plans for neurologic cases
  • Participate in teaching and mentoring of veterinary students and interns
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in veterinary neurology through continuing education

Requirements

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an AVMA accredited institution
  • Board certification in Veterinary Neurology by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM)
  • Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in veterinary neurology
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Qualifications

    Skills

    • Advanced knowledge of neurology principles and diagnostic techniques
    • Experience with neuroimaging modalities such as MRI and CT
    • Proficiency in surgical techniques relevant to neurology
    • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills

    $200,000 - $250,000 USD
