Pet Emergency Treatment (PET) in Anchorage, AK is seeking a skilled Medical Oncologist (residency trained or board certified) to join our dedicated team in delivering the highest quality medicine at our well-equipped, AAHA-accredited hospital.
About the Role
This is a rare opportunity in a market with little competition, allowing you to make a significant impact right away. Our hospital is home to the only boarded Internist in the state of Alaska and a team of five experienced ER veterinarians, along with a growing group of skilled technicians and support staff. PET provides 24-hour emergency care to pets in Anchorage and remote Alaskan communities, but this position is firmly situated within our specialty services.
Responsibilities
- Manage a solid oncology caseload under the guidance of the current internist
- Collaborate with the oncology team to advance cancer care
- Support the hospital's emergency and specialty services
- Work with hospital leadership on scheduling, equipment selection, and shaping the future of oncology services in the state
Requirements
- Residency trained or board certified in Medical Oncology
- Experience in managing oncology cases
- Strong collaboration skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
