Veterinary Medical Oncologist
About the role
Garden State Veterinary Services is seeking a Board Certified or Residency Trained Medical Oncologist to join us as we convert our Morristown hospital into an outpatient specialty practice. This practice will offer specialty care in Surgery, Cardiology, Medical Oncology, and Internal Medicine.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive medical oncology care to patients
- Collaborate with surgeons, cardiologists, and internal medicine specialists
- Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical protocols
- Participate in case conferences and team meetings
- Continuously update knowledge and skills through professional development activities
Requirements
- Board Certification in Veterinary Medical Oncology or equivalent residency training
- Experience in treating a variety of oncologic conditions in small animals
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid license to practice veterinary medicine in the state of New Jersey
Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an AVMA-accredited institution
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in veterinary oncology
- Proven leadership and management skills
