About the role

As a Companion Pet Partner, you will be responsible for providing emotional support and companionship to individuals who may be struggling with mental health issues.

Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one support to clients in their homes.
  • Facilitate communication between clients and healthcare providers.
  • Assist clients in developing coping strategies and managing symptoms.
  • Participate in regular training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements

  • Able to commit to a minimum of 10 hours per week.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Experience working with individuals with mental health conditions is preferred but not required.
  • Pass a background check and drug screening.

Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect client privacy.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.

Skills

  • Empathy and patience.
  • Basic first aid and CPR certification.
  • Knowledge of mental health disorders and resources.
