About the role
Join our veterinary hospital as a Medical Director and lead our clinical team to new heights of excellence! In this prestigious leadership position, you'll shape the medical direction of our practice while fostering a culture of compassionate, high-quality veterinary care. As the clinical cornerstone of our hospital, you'll mentor and develop our veterinary team, establish medical protocols, and collaborate with hospital leadership to drive growth and innovation.
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain the highest standards of veterinary care by implementing best practices, guiding medical protocols, and ensuring every patient receives exceptional treatment.
- Mentor and develop our veterinary team through mentorship, training, and fostering a positive hospital culture where professionals feel valued, supported, and motivated to excel.
- Collaborate with the Hospital Manager and regional leadership to identify growth opportunities, address challenges, and make strategic decisions that enhance both patient care and hospital performance.
- Monitor clinical outcomes, provide constructive feedback, and implement improvements to continuously elevate the level of medicine practiced at our hospital.
- Guide communication standards, address complex cases or concerns, and foster trust between our practice and the community we serve.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree required
- Current state veterinary license in good standing
- Current DEA license required
- 3-5 years of clinical experience preferred
- Previous leadership or mentoring experience highly desirable
- Experience with practice management and team development a plus
