Veterinary Medical Director

About the role

The Medical Director will lead the team of emergency and specialty clinicians at BluePearl Pet Hospital in Langhorne, PA. This role requires several years of clinical experience and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should be self-motivated, collaborative, and able to work harmoniously with other clinicians, staff, and referring veterinarians. They must also be willing to interact with referring veterinarians in various ways, including making personal visits, presenting CE programs, and discussing cases by phone.

Qualifications

• DVM/VMD degree required
• Completion of a rotating internship in emergency (ER) medicine and critical care (ECC) preferred but not required
• Current license to practice veterinary medicine in this state
• Strong diagnostic and clinical skills, with the ability to make rapid and accurate assessments in emergency situations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate bedside manner
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
