Job Summary
Catskill Veterinary Services is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Internist to join our team. We are a veterinarian-owned practice serving Sullivan County and the Hudson Valley, offering specialized internal medicine services in a supportive environment.
About the Role
Highly Competitive Compensation: Generous Base Salary + Production percentages (with no negative accrual) commensurate with experience and Board status. Diagnostic Arsenal: Top-of-the-line ultrasound, endoscopy/laparoscopy, and advanced in-house laboratory capabilities. Instant Caseload: Daily referrals from general practice and emergency veterinarians across three locations. Future Growth: Transitioning into a state-of-the-art hospital opening in 2026.
Responsibilities
- Perform abdominal ultrasounds and endoscopic biopsies.
- Manage complicated endocrine, gastrointestinal, and immune-mediated cases.
- Collaborate with surgeons, criticalists (if applicable), and ER doctors.
- Elevate the standard of care for the region.
- Support long-term relationships with clients and patients.
- Diagnose and collaborate with referring veterinarians.
Requirements
- DVM/VMD + Board Certification (DACVIM) OR Board Eligible (active residency completion).
- NYS License: Current license (or ability to obtain one).
- Proficiency in ultrasound and endoscopy.
- A collaborative approach to case management.
