Veterinary Internal Medicine Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a Board-Certified or Residency-Trained Internist to join our 24/7 Emergency and Specialty Hospital in Latham, NY. Ideal candidates are passionate about patient care, enjoy solving diagnostic puzzles, and appreciate a supportive team environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive internal medicine services to hospitalized patients
• Collaborate with other specialists to develop and implement treatment plans
• Conduct thorough physical examinations and diagnostic tests
• Develop and maintain a strong clinical presence and rapport with clients
• Participate in continuing education and professional development

Requirements

• Current license to practice veterinary medicine in New York State
• Board Certification in Internal Medicine or equivalent residency training
• Experience in emergency and/or specialty practice preferred
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Qualifications

• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Passionate about veterinary medicine and animal welfare

Skills

• Advanced knowledge of internal medicine principles and practices
• Proficiency in diagnostic techniques and procedures
