Veterinary Internal Medicine Specialist
About the role
The Animal Emergency and Specialty Center (AESC) in Poulsbo, Washington, is seeking a second internist to join their growing team. The position will be part of an internal medicine service established in 2024 by a current internist who has extensive experience and a background in a five-internist specialty practice.
Responsibilities
- Work with the emergency and surgery services to manage both inpatients and outpatients
- Contribute to the development of a critical care service and in-house blood bank
- Collaborate with a supportive and respectful team environment
- Offer expanded internal medicine services to a committed client base
Requirements
- Thrive on problem-solving and working up complex cases
- Dedicated and compassionate towards colleagues and clients
- Lead a positive and engaged hospital culture
- Experience with ultrasonography is a definite plus
Qualifications
- Board Certified in Veterinary Internal Medicine (DACVIM)
- Strong clinical skills and experience in internal medicine
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Benefits
Base salary range is $200,000 - $215,000, with a compensation structure that offers the opportunity to earn more through production. Additional benefits include:

Schedule
The schedule is flexible and designed to accommodate the needs of the candidate and the practice.
Pay
The base salary range is $200,000 - $215,000, with a compensation structure that offers the opportunity to earn more through production.
