Veterinary Hospital Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor hospital performance, manage budgets, oversee payroll and financial operations, and drive business growth through data-informed decisions.
- Ensure efficient workflow, maintain regulatory compliance (OSHA, DEA, VMB), manage equipment and inventory, and implement hospital policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with leadership to develop and execute long-term goals, expand services, and support referral and business partnerships.
- Lead day-to-day operations, scheduling, and maintenance while aligning administrative functions with overall hospital objectives.
- Oversee marketing strategies, resolve client concerns, enhance client experience, and foster retention and growth.
- Manage and support department leads, oversee hiring and development, maintain staffing levels, and promote a positive, inclusive workplace culture.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of leadership, business management, or operations management experience required.
- Veterinary hospital management experience required.
- Previous veterinary experience (e.g., Veterinary Technician, Veterinary Assistant, or Client Service Representative) preferred.
- Bachelor's degree, Certified Veterinary Practice Manager (CVPM), or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams.
- Experience managing budgets, staffing, scheduling, and day-to-day operations.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Proficient with business software and able to adapt quickly to new systems.
Schedule, benefits and compensation:
- This is a full-time, salaried position and schedule flexibility is required based on business needs.
- Compensation: $75,000-95,000 annual base salary*
- Bi-annual bonus opportunities: Based on hospital performance
- Hiring bonus package: Up to $2000 based on experience and credentials
