Veterinary Hospital Administrator
About the Role
Bellevue Animal Hospital is seeking a forward-thinking, business-savvy Hospital Administrator to join our established, six-doctor practice. This leadership role is ideal for someone with a strong background in business operations, finance, and multi-team management. You’ll partner closely with our medical leadership to oversee the hospital’s financial performance, streamline operations, and support a positive, growth-oriented culture.
Responsibilities
- Monitor hospital performance, manage budgets, oversee payroll and financial operations, and drive business growth through data-informed decisions.
- Ensure efficient workflow, maintain regulatory compliance (OSHA, DEA, VMB), manage equipment and inventory, and implement hospital policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with leadership to develop and execute long-term goals, expand services, and support referral and business partnerships.
- Lead day-to-day operations, scheduling, and maintenance while aligning administrative functions with overall hospital objectives.
- Oversee marketing strategies, resolve client concerns, enhance client experience, and foster retention and growth.
- Manage and support department leads, oversee hiring and development, maintain staffing levels, and promote a positive, inclusive workplace culture.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of business management experience required.
- Veterinary experience is preferred but can be developed.
- CVPM or equivalent education preferred.
- Exceptional communication skills with a collaborative and servant leadership approach.
- Resilience and adeptness in handling emotionally charged situations.
- Proficiency in budget management.
- Experience with team training and supervision.
- Strong computer literacy and adaptability to new systems.
- Capacity to work autonomously with minimal direct supervision.

Bellevue Animal Hospital is a six-doctor, general practice that has been serving Eastside dogs and cats since 1955. We recently moved into a beautiful, larger location that is fully renovated. We provide individualized care, from wellness exams and dental care to surgery, ultrasound, laser therapy, and nutritional counseling. Our clinic has been voted Best of Bellevue for 5 consecutive years. Our team takes a Fear Free approach to patient care, and we take our last appointment at 5:30pm to support work-life balance.

Pay
Annual base salary: $85,000–$95,000 USD.
Schedule
