About the role
Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine (RUSVM) invites applications for a full-time faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor in Emergency and Critical Care (ECC).
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality lectures and hands-on laboratory instruction in Emergency and Critical Care to Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) students.
- Supervise and mentor students during clinical rotations and practical sessions.
- Provide clinical consultation and case management in the First Opinion Small Animal Clinic, including after-hours emergency coverage on a rotating basis.
- Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement of ECC teaching materials and methods.
- Engage in scholarly activities, including research, publication, and continuing education.
- Participate in faculty committees, accreditation processes, and other academic service roles.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment for a diverse student body.
Qualifications
- Willingness to reside in St Kitts on a full-time basis (Relocation provided).
- DVM or equivalent veterinary degree.
- Completion of a residency in Emergency and Critical Care or board certification (ACVECC, ECVECC, or equivalent).
- Demonstrated experience in clinical teaching and case management in ECC.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred
- Prior academic teaching experience at the university level.
- A record of scholarly activity or interest in research.
- Experience working in multicultural or international environments.
