Veterinary Criticalist

About the role

Pet+ER is seeking a third boarded or board eligible Criticalist to join our team in Hunt Valley, MD. We provide 24/7 emergency and critical care services and support to our patients and their owners. Our state-of-the-art facilities include advanced equipment and services such as digital radiology, in-house lab, ICU, surgery suites, oxygen ward, isolation ward, and upcoming high flow oxygen. We collaborate with board-certified specialists in various fields including Critical Care, Surgery, Neurology, Canine Rehabilitation, Internal Medicine, Oncology, Cardiology, and Radiology.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24/7 emergency and critical care services
• Collaborate with board-certified specialists in various fields
• Support and engage with a skilled team of dedicated doctors and specialists
• Engage with a plentiful and interesting caseload

Requirements

• Board certification or board eligibility in Critical Care
• Experience in emergency and critical care
• Strong clinical skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree
• Current license to practice veterinary medicine in the state of Maryland

Skills

• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks

Pay

The anticipated starting base salary range for individuals expressing interest in this position is $200,000 to $230,000 per year.

We operate on a 24/7 schedule with rotating shifts.
