About the role

Animal Emergency & Referral Associates (AERA) in West Caldwell, New Jersey is seeking a board-certified or residency-trained Veterinary Criticalist to join our growing specialty and emergency hospital.

Responsibilities

• Provide critical care services to hospitalized patients
• Collaborate with other specialists and emergency veterinarians
• Contribute to research and development of advanced medical techniques
• Mentor and train veterinary students and interns
• Participate in case conferences and staff meetings

Requirements

• Board certification or completion of a residency program in veterinary critical care
• Experience in critical care and emergency medicine
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree
• Current license to practice veterinary medicine in New Jersey

Pay

The compensation range for this role typically falls between $220,000 - $280,000 depending on experience, credentials, and schedule.

Schedule

Full-time position with 40-hour workweek.
