SAGE Veterinary Centers - Concord is seeking a 2nd Criticalist to join our outstanding team and continue building our critical care service. Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive critical care services
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures using advanced equipment
- Develop and implement treatment plans for critically ill patients
- Provide emotional and physical support to patients and their owners
- Participate in case conferences and rounds to discuss patient progress and treatment strategies
- Contribute to the education and training of veterinary students and interns
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an AVMA-accredited school
- Current license to practice veterinary medicine in California
- At least 3 years of experience in critical care or emergency medicine
- Experience with advanced diagnostic imaging techniques and surgical procedures
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Qualifications
- Passing scores on relevant board examinations (if applicable)
- Knowledge of current veterinary literature and best practices
- Experience with electronic medical records systems

Pay
The salary range for this position is between $225,000 and $250,000 depending on experience and credentials.
Schedule
Full-time position with rotating shifts to accommodate the needs of the hospital and the team.
