About the role
Mission Veterinary Emergency & Specialty is seeking a second residency-trained or board-certified critical care specialist.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with ECC, internal medicine, and surgery departments for seamless case management.
- Provide direct interaction with interns and nursing staff during cage-side rounds each morning.
- Facilitate daily case transfers with direct communication between specialists.
- Oversight and training of interns, including formal presentations and rotations.
- Contribute to the growth and development of the Critical Care team at Mission.
Requirements
- Residency-trained or board-certified in critical care.
- Experience in emergency and critical care settings.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
- Ability to mentor and develop interns.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree.
- Current AVQ certification.
- AVCP certification preferred.
