About the role

This position reports into the VIP Petcare team and supports convenient and affordable pet health and wellness products and veterinary services delivered through retail and ecommerce channels nationwide. Part- and full-time positions are available.

Responsibilities

  • Collect payment, dispense and label medication, and review discharge paperwork with pet parents
  • Safely restrain/hold pets for wellness procedures including vaccines, nail trims, and microchipping
  • Collect and prepare blood and fecal samples for laboratory testing
  • Drive company vans to and from clinics; load and unload equipment and supplies
  • Recommend services and products to every pet based on lifestyle and disease knowledge
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment by disinfecting surfaces and equipment between each pet
  • Execute inventory processes: maintain accurate product counts and manage expiration dates for vaccines and products
  • Promote a culture of safety and reinforce brand promise with pet parents, partners, and team members
  • Provide customer service by answering questions and guiding pet parents through the clinic process
  • Achieve manager-set goals (dollars per pet, pets per clinic, preferred product and microchip sales)
  • Scan pets for microchips and prepare canine and feline vaccines
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with pet parents and partners
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age or older with a valid driver’s license and VIP Petcare Pass
  • Pass MVR check with reliable transportation to and from work
  • Previous customer service sales experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Comfort approaching host location customers to educate about clinics
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities

Working Conditions

  • Drive a company vehicle for long hours and varied terrain/weather; portion of workday spent in vehicle
  • Some outdoor clinic work and activities
  • Prolonged periods in the field, including 12–14-hour days
  • Weekends, varied weekdays and times, occasional overnights

Physical Requirements

  • Lifting up to 10, 20, and 50 pounds
