About the role

The Veterinary Client Service Supervisor (CSS) guides the daily activities of the Client Services Team (CST) under the direction of the Client Services Manager (CSM). The CSS provides management coverage for the CS department to function properly during the shift and addresses issues ensuring services are seamless from beginning to end of the client and patient visit.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate between Client Services and all areas of the hospital to ensure smooth and efficient operations in the absence of the CSM.
  • Plan, monitor, and ensure completion of the initial training program for new Client Service associates to maintain the highest level of personal care.
  • Cost-effectively schedule client service associates to meet and exceed client needs at every shift.
  • Be an integral member of the management team and the link between the client, the patient, and the caregivers, offering feedback to co-managers to identify issues causing dissatisfaction.
  • Communicate with client service associates, both individually and in groups, to ensure consistent understanding of new ideas, changes in protocol, policies, and ongoing communication.
  • Coach client service associates to anticipate and address client services proactively and seek assistance with escalated, stressful situations.
  • Plan and execute regularly scheduled team meetings.
  • Seek new ways to better serve clients through ongoing training opportunities, input from Client Service Coordinators, and feedback from doctors and management.
  • Personally meet with clients to discuss concerns and questions regarding any aspect of services provided.
  • Other job duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Experience in veterinary healthcare or related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of veterinary practices and client service protocols.

Schedule

Shifts are typically 8 hours long, Monday through Friday, with rotating weekends.
