Veterinary Cardiologist
About the role
PET is seeking a cardiologist to join their growing team in Anchorage, Alaska. Located in the scenic wonderland of Alaska, PET offers state-of-the-art equipment for small animal patients and those referred by veterinarians across the state. This position is part of a leader in small animal diagnostics in Alaska.
Responsibilities
- Perform general, orthopedic, neurologic, and dermatologic examinations
- Conduct radiography, contrast radiography, myelography, fluoroscopy, laparoscopy, and arthroscopy
- Provide care for local and referred small animal patients
- Collaborate with a dedicated community of more than 1,500 specialized doctors
- Utilize state-of-the-art technology and a scientific, evidence-based approach to deliver compassionate, unparalleled care
Requirements
- Board-certified in cardiology
- Experience with small animal cardiology
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree
- Current license to practice veterinary medicine in Alaska
- Passing score on the AVMA-accredited board examination
