About the role

We are seeking compassionate, motivated Veterinary Assistants who are passionate about patient care, eager to expand their hands-on skills, and excited to be part of a collaborative, team-oriented culture.

Responsibilities

  • Gain experience with a wide variety of cases while helping pets receive timely, high-quality care when they need it most.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and team members.
  • Handle animals and perform basic animal care tasks.
  • Multi-task and remain organized in a fast-paced environment.
  • Work collaboratively with veterinarians, technicians, and other staff members.
  • Take direction and adapt to new tasks and procedures.
  • Follow instructions and maintain a high standard of care.
  • Show a positive attitude and a compassionate approach to client care.

Requirements

  • Prior experience working in a veterinary setting – 1+ years.
  • Experience as a Client Service Representative is a plus.
  • Experience in handling animals and performing basic animal care tasks.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients and team members.
  • Ability to multi-task and remain organized in a fast-paced environment.
  • Compassion and patience when handling animals.
  • Basic knowledge of animal behavior and medical terminology.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in stressful situations.
  • Willingness to take direction and adapt to new tasks and procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Punctuality and reliability, with a commitment to maintaining a high standard of care.
  • A positive attitude, professionalism, and a compassionate approach to client care.
  • Willingness to continue learning and stay updated on veterinary practices.

Pay

$19.00-$22.50 an hour depending on experience and education.

Schedule

This is a Full-Time position: 4 days a week / 10-hour shifts. Weekends are required.
