About the role

Gold Coast Center for Veterinary Care is a state-of-the-art referral hospital currently seeking a full-time Veterinary Assistant to join their Physical Rehabilitation team. The ideal candidate will enjoy their job and contribute positively to the team.

Responsibilities

• Gentle handling of patients & restraining
• Assisting with physical rehabilitation treatments
• Maintaining rehabilitation equipment
• Cleaning, laundry and basic clinic up keep
• Medication administration & filling prescriptions
• Assisting our Technicians and our Veterinarian as needed
• Tackling projects as assigned (with a smile, as always!)

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 1 year of veterinary medicine experience preferred
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Ability to work in a veterinary environment with exposure to infection or contagious diseases
