Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to stable patients according to hospital standards of care and core values
- Discharge, perform call backs and refill medications
- Client education, gathering histories and communicating that to the Clinician
- Perform physical exam; accurately count heart, pulse rate, capillary refill time, mucous membranes, temperature, respiratory rate and effort
- Absorb and assist with IVC placement and venipuncture
- Set up intravenous fluids
- Operate all brands of intravenous fluid pumps and troubleshoot errors
- Restrain patients during consults and diagnostics
- Learn advanced imaging: MRI and CT
- Work in our ER and ICU department as needed
