Veterinary Assistant Kennel Attendant

About the role

Valley Veterinary Hospital in New Milford Connecticut is currently looking for responsible, compassionate and dedicated caretaker for our hospitalized, day care and boarding patients.

Responsibilities

• Stocking supplies daily
• Laundry
• Assisting with holding pets for services including x-rays
• Cleaning and sanitizing rooms and surgical instruments
• Assisting Technicians with surgical prep
• Maintain and clean the kennels and boarding cages
• Let pets out and feed
• On occasion bathe and dry dogs

Requirements

• Weekend shift coverage is mandatory
• Availability for weekend shifts is necessary to care for the boarding patients in our care
• Must live within a reasonable commuting distance (under 30 minutes is recommended)
• Must be able to lift 50lbs
• Must be able to work independently
