Responsibilities

  • Provide basic nursing care and husbandry to patients
  • Assist Veterinary Technicians and other staff members in a clinical setting
  • Handle and restrain animals as needed
  • Work collaboratively with veterinarians, technicians, and other staff members
  • Multi-task and remain organized in a fast-paced environment
  • Communicate effectively with clients and team members
  • Work well under pressure and in stressful situations
  • Take direction and adapt to new tasks and procedures
  • Follow instructions and maintain a high standard of care
  • Show compassion and patience when handling animals
  • Continue learning and staying updated on veterinary practices

Requirements

  • Prior experience working in a veterinary setting preferred
  • Experience in handling animals and performing basic animal care tasks
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multi-task and remain organized in a fast-paced environment
  • Compassion and patience when handling animals
  • Basic knowledge of animal behavior and medical terminology
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in stressful situations
  • Ability to work collaboratively with veterinarians, technicians, and other staff members
  • Willingness to take direction and adapt to new tasks and procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
  • Punctuality and reliability

  • Must be 18 years or older to apply

Pay

$19.50 - $22.00 an hour depending on experience.

Schedule

This is a part-time position: Wednesday and Saturday - 6am-4pm
