Responsibilities
- Provide basic nursing care and husbandry to patients
- Assist Veterinary Technicians and other staff members in a clinical setting
- Handle and restrain animals as needed
- Work collaboratively with veterinarians, technicians, and other staff members
- Multi-task and remain organized in a fast-paced environment
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members
- Work well under pressure and in stressful situations
- Take direction and adapt to new tasks and procedures
- Follow instructions and maintain a high standard of care
- Show compassion and patience when handling animals
- Continue learning and staying updated on veterinary practices
Requirements
- Prior experience working in a veterinary setting preferred
- Experience in handling animals and performing basic animal care tasks
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multi-task and remain organized in a fast-paced environment
- Compassion and patience when handling animals
- Basic knowledge of animal behavior and medical terminology
- Ability to work well under pressure and in stressful situations
- Ability to work collaboratively with veterinarians, technicians, and other staff members

$19.50 - $22.00 an hour depending on experience.

This is a part-time position: Wednesday and Saturday - 6am-4pm
